lyrics
Clawed out of the old, sucked deep in the earth to shut me up. Peeled it off, and watch it close. I should have projected: a crawling head would turn to stone. The code speaks through the shapes that make whole. This is only one day. Reject the cast, washed out. Examine the ground you’ve been walking around. Off that course from the years before. Here comes a trick -- certain terms: the strongest implode -- with a planned reaction, desperate to control! This is only one day; but not the rest of mine.
Signals crossed. Interpretation slowed... an endless sea of wading. Signals crossed… interpretation slowed: the scene that I’m creating. This is only one day… but not the rest of mine. Multiplication of the First Matter : it’s Alchemy of the Mind!
A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
