about
You’re just shades away from the one they all agree has fallen : the you next to you who is trying to hide from the i against i. You already fooled, skeptical fool : paranoid delusional! We are all insane, we are all alone. Trust no one! No trust is just what it seems. Just let go, there’s only one way home! Self-state of mind : it’s just a skin away from the next being. Shroud of time : is just the natural state of un-being. Separation of self, artificial brain, superficial arterial creation. Being no control : Synapses broken to form connection. You’ll never give up; you’ll never give in. Your soul’s your own to lose or win. Question everything. Always questioning. Do you know who you are? A contest of wills or a constant of love? Let go. Self-no-control.

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
