Day after day. Sun after sun. Land after land, we travel on. A drop of sea; a grain of sand. The sky is all we have. We stand. We travel on. State after state : clear space. Looking through solid forms - existing in three states at once. Self-seeing emerged from the dust; submerged in the liquid from beyond : unbound by scientific law. A drop of sea; a grain of sand. A cosmic order stretching out our hand … we travel on. Looking down through black waves stars blaze and dazzle by. One! One second to all. Now! One second to none. One second of everything. Released from thought. Head in the clouds -- as close as you come. A drop of sea; a grain of sand. Our love is all we have. We stand. We travel on. Swim through the sea of souls, soaked, yet insoluble. Exchanging cells, exchanging life. You are not alone. You are your own. We are one.
A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
