about
Why try to control, what’s taken care of? Never act as if you weren’t meant for more! And so we play this out to map reaction, it’s the only way we know for sure. Now that you know what you know. Now That you’ve seen what can be; there’s no dimming (you’re light) not for anyone! I can’t unknow, it’s take care of. I can’t act as if I haven’t opened the door. And so we play this out to map reaction, it’s the only way we know for sure. Now that you know what you know. Now That you’ve seen what can be; there’s no dimming (you’re light) not for anyone! This ape psychology, just a broken machine, our hidden history. So far beyond, without start. I put my trust back in me.
A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
